Richard "Rich" W. Spohn's Obituary
Richard “Rich” W. Spohn, 72, of Fredonia, KS passed away at his home on Friday, September 6, 2024. Richard was born on April 23, 1952, in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Charles Russell and Maurita Joan (Opperman) Spohn.
Among other tasks, Richard was a machinist for the Kansas Bank Note, and retired after working there for 38 years. Richard enjoyed going elk and deer hunting, working on his farm, and raising cattle. Richard also enjoyed working on guns, loading ammunition and playing with his jeeps. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was active with the Kansas Rifle Association.
On July 6, 2001, Richard married Tami Anne White. Richard and Tami have been married for 23 years, and she survives at their home.

13 Grandchildren: Toryn, Vaylin and Kacyn Spohn, Addison, Braxton, Brailynn, River Reddick, Jayla, Jaida, and Jerra Bunyard and Maci Shafer, Ryker and Hadlee Ogden.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and Charles and Lenora Spohn and Alfred and Mildred Opperman.
Cremation has been requested. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:30 am at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Memorials have been suggested to either Hometown Health Care, Hometown Hospice, or the Fredonia Pound Pals and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
