Richard R. Stout's Obituary
Richard R. Stout, age 69, of Chanute, KS, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, KS, surrounded by his family. Richard was born October 6, 1945 in Chanute, KS the son of Ray Wilson and Lola Irene (Provin) Stout.
Richard graduated from Chanute High School with the Class of “63”. He served in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. Richard worked for Hi-Lo Industries as a chop saw operator for 21 years. He was a member of the Old Country Church of Earlton.
Richard married Donna Hite on February 13, 1998. He loved to fish, camp, do woodworking, watch racing, but most of all spend time with his family and play with the grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his wife; Donna of the home, sons; James (Dawn) Stout of Lee Summit, MO, Dennis (Alisha) Stout of Independence, MO, Brian Cumpton of Drexel, MO, step-children; Terry (Kristy) Ammons of Buffalo, KS, Tim (Chelsea) Ammons, of Chanute, KS, Trisha Ammons of Elk City, KS, brothers; John (Becky) Stout of Earlton, KS, Sam Stout of Earlton, KS, 10 grandchildren, special niece; April Stout and son Joseph, and 12 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Ray and Lola, and brother; Randy Stout.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, June 22, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel. Interment will follow at Earlton Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by Chanute American Legion.
The family suggests memorials to American Heart Association or the Chanute American Legion and may be mailed to the funeral home at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS.
