Richard Monte Whightsil's Obituary
Monte Whightsil, age 86 of Fredonia, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, KS. Monte was born in Fredonia, KS on February 26, 1928 to Ted and Edith Whightsil.
Monte grew up in Fredonia and was a graduate of Fredonia High School. After high school Monte joined the Navy. Monte resided in California, Texas and Tennessee during his life. He most currently lived in Memphis, TN before moving back to Fredonia 6 months ago. Monte was a retired Vice President of Sales for Mayflower Moving and Storage. monte enjoyed playing golf and hunting and he attended the First United Methodist Church in Fredonia.

4 Grandchildren- Chris Ewing, Diane Lowe, Derek Whightsil and Addie Whightsil
Monte was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Margaret Weatherby
Services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Pastor Carl Ellis officiating. There will no visitation and private burial to follow. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to the Diabetes Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
