Robert Leon Gronau's Obituary
Robert Leon Gronau from Fall River, Kansas passed away peacefully on December 4, 2020 at Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas at the age of 82. Robert was born on November 24, 1938 in Newton, Kansas to A.M. and Agnes (Endres) Gronau.
He is a graduate of Newton High School where soon after he joined the Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He was stationed at Pease AFB in Greenland, New Hampshire where he met his Nancy Redden and they were married on August 12, 1961 in Dover, New Hampshire. They were married for 59 wonderful years.
Survivors include wife Nancy, of Fall River and children: Mark Gronau and Kim Wilson of Fall River; Shawna Clay and David of Olathe, Kansas and granddaughter Taylor Clay of Olathe. He was preceded in death both parents A.M. and Agnes (Endres) Gronau and sister Susan Gronau. Surviving siblings, James (Dennes) Gronau of Newton ; Jeanie (Jim) Senn of Newton, Rita Gronau of Newton. He also had three nieces and six nephews.
The Family is planning a Celebration of Life event to honor Robert in the near future due to the current COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the safety of all attendees and to allow out of state family the ability to attend.
Cremation has been requested. Memorials in Robert's memory have been suggested to the Fall River Library and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
