Robert M Groth's Obituary
Robert M. Groth, 75, of Fredonia, KS passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. He was born on October 26, 1946 to Robert C. and Sarah (Kaylor) Groth in Martinsville, Indiana. He was known locally as the ‘Garage Sale King’, collecting all kinds of treasures that he could find, this had been a lifelong hobby for Robert.
When he was 17, Bob enlisted in the Army and bravely served our country overseas in the conflict of Vietnam. He was a member of the Army Olympic Sharpshooter team and after his return to the states also had the honor of acting as a tomb guard at the Arlington National Cemetery. Bob worked retail in military surplus after he ended his time in the military until his retirement.
On December 15, 1967, he married Cheryl Mills and together they had two children, Bobby and Gina. From there, their family just expanded. After 54 years of marriage, they now have 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, all who loved Bob very much. He will be sorely missed.
