Robert Niles Hardy's Obituary
Robert Niles Hardy age 57, of Chanute, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, KS. Robert was born January 29, 1957 in Council Bluffs, IA the son of Robert Lee and Margaret (Niles) Hardy.
He attended high school at Logan Magnolia High School in Logan, IA and graduated with the class of 1975.
Robert worked in the healthcare industry, until his health required him to retire. He lived at Heritage Health Care in Chanute, KS, and was well liked by all who knew him. Robert’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his parents, Robert and Margaret of Logan, IA, son; Daniel Hardy and wife Sara of Chanute, KS., daughter; Cheri Diane Hardy of Chanute, KS, brother; Carroll Hardy and wife Kathy of Prole, IA., sister; Sue Liljedahl and husband Brit of Missouri Valley, IA., and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel, 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS, 66720. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri Valley Christian Church in Missouri Valley, IA. Interment will be at the cemetery in Logan, IA.
Family requests memorials be left in memory of Robert to The American Heart Association, and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. is in charge of the arrangements.
