Robert Wallace Hart's Obituary
Robert W. "Wally" Hart of Kansas City, Mo, and formerly of Humboldt, passed away on January 14, 2014. He was born April 5, 1948 to Mary Kathryn (Montgomery) and Wallace L. Hart.
He graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1966. On April 30, 1967 he married Una L. VanNice. They later divorced.
Wally managed Pence IGA in Ottawa for twenty years. He later spent many years working for Kansas City Power and Light as a cable splicer.
Wally is survived by his parents Kate and Wally of Humboldt, a brother John of Humboldt, daughter Danielle and husband Darryl of Las Vegas, son Richard and wife Kristen of Capistrano Beach, CA, grandchildren Kathryn, K'lynn, Kandace of Las Vegas, and Peyton, and Haven of CA, nephews David and Joshua and their families, all of Humboldt.
He is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Hart.
Funeral services will be held on January 18, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at Countryside Funeral Home in Humboldt, KS, with Jesse VanNice officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Family suggests memorials to the Food Pantry in Humboldt and may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
