Robert Kenneth Jones' Obituary
Robert K Jones, of Longton, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Howard, KS. Bob was born July 11, 1925 in Wichita KS. After serving in the Navy, he married Colleene Stroup of Arkansas City. They made their home in Newkirk, Oklahoma, before relocating in 1956 to California where he raised his five children.
In California he worked in a variety of fields, before establishing a successful refrigeration and motor winding business. He retired in 1988 and moved to Grenola, KS where he served his community and was very active in church, before finally settling in Longton.
Mr. Jones is survived by his children, Larry and wife Sheri of Alabama, Steve and wife Sharon of Longton, Robert and wife Sandy, and Molly and Mark, all of California.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren, including Jenifer Clatt and husband Jason of Longton, and Cy Jones and wife Simone of Howard, 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, of Longton, where he spent much time and had many friends.
