Robert Schmit Kinzer, Jr., age 78, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in Chanute. Robert was born on July 10, 1940 in Aurora, IL, the son of Robert Schmit and Helen Rae (Brown) Kinzer.
In 1962, Robert married Karen Lea Cleland in Batavia, IL and they celebrated over 50 years of marriage. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, bingo and water skiing.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Cremation has been requested. The family will hold a memorial service on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute.
