Robert L. "Bob" Morgan's Obituary
Robert L. “Bob†Morgan, age 81, of Howard, Kansas passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka, Kansas. He was born on June 9, 1928 in Paw Paw Township in Elk County, Kansas the son of Wilbert Walter and Esther M. (Wucherpfenig) Morgan. Bob spent most of his life living on a farm eight miles northeast of Howard until moving to Howard in October 1994.
Bob attended Antioch country school, and served in the Korean War. After his Army discharge, he worked for Brown’s Feed Store. Later he became employed by the Elk County Road Department, while being engaged in farming also. He enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work and gardening.
He is survived by two brothers Don Morgan and Francis Morgan both of Howard, Kansas, two nephews Dale Morgan of Dearing, Kansas and Jeff Balthus of Ponca City, Oklahoma and one niece Barbara Morgan of Howard, Kansas. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard with Pastor Robin Haines officiating. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 1 to 5 PM at the funeral home. Family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association and may be left with the funeral home.
