Rodger Lynn Mills' Obituary
Rodger Lynn Mills, age 68, a resident of Moline, Kansas passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 at Arkansas City, Kansas. He was born on May 6, 1944 in Moline, Kansas the son of Orville and Audrey (Wolverton) Mills. Rodger was a graduate of Moline High School.
On April 8, 1963, Rodger was united in marriage to Glenda Irene Beaumont in Kansas City, Kansas. To this union was born a son and a daughter. Glenda preceded him in death on November 29, 2006. Rodger worked as a trackman for the railroad. His hobbies included fast cars, hunting and fishing.
Rodger is survived by his son Rodney Mills and his wife Marlana of Arkansas City; his daughter Lorri Robert and her husband Jay of Augusta; one brother Harold Mills of Clearwater; one sister Pat Custer of Moline and five grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Stan Rumbaugh officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Moline Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be made to the Moline Alumni Association and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.
