Roman M Garcia's Obituary
Roman Moya Garcia, 91, passed away on January 31, 2018 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, KS. He was born on August 9, 1926 in Chanute, KS to Thomas and Linda (Hernandez) Garcia.
Roman married Sally Godinez on March 15, 2008 after many years together. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2008.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years before retiring from Harry Byers. In his spare time, Roman could be found sitting at home in his recliner watching western movies. He also enjoyed attending the Mexican Fiesta and activities at Chanute VFW.
Roman is survived by many godchildren and cousins.
Cremation has been requested.
Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, with Mass following at 11:00 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chanute, KS. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720.
