My thoughts are with the Durbin family today. I know Corky was a good friend of my Dad's and had heard many stories in my youth from their younger days. I was fortunate to hear some of those same stories recently when I had a chance to visit with Corky at the nursing home. He will be missed.
The family of Mary Murphy & Thomas Kibby of St. Louis Missouri send our prayers and condolence to all of the children and grandchildren of Uncle Corky. My dad, Harry Murphy enjoyed wonderful times of fishing and Kansas sunsets hosted by Corky and Aunt Ella Mae. Wishing you peace and warm memories.

Nancy, Kenny & family: Oh what memories I have of your Dad "Corky". By living so close for so many years, I cannot tell you how many times I have been yelled at for playing late night basketball on the Durbin court, and raising cane in the neighborhood. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Durbin family at this time of loss. I am sure we all have fond memories of Corky. I picture him in his truck driving around his lake, wearing his one piece light blue overalls and having "something" to drink in that over-sized coffee mug that made a noise like ice cubes inside. He always had a smile and a belly laugh when he greeted us. Corky flew Ella Mae, my sister Lesa and himself to Madison WI to visit my son in the first weeks after he was born (now 38 years ago). He was an energetic and giving man and will be missed by many.
