Ronald Henry Baxter's Obituary
Ronald Henry Baxter age 76, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Select
Specialty Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. Ronald was born on May 7, 1935 in
Washington D.C. Ron was the son of Frank Baxter.
After high school, Ronald attended George Washington University and
attended Washburn Universitys Law School. He practiced law for 35 years
and held many position. Ronald was appointed legal counsel for the late
Robert B. Docking. He was also very involved with the Democratic Party as
well as the Sierra Club and Elks Lodge before his retirement in the 1990s.
In 1958 in Washington D.C., Ronald married Peggy Ann Gilstrap. They were
married for 25 years until her death in 1983.
Ronald is survived by:
Son: Frank H. Baxter and wife Elizabeth of Apple Valley, MN.
Niece: Susan Herold of Topeka, Kansas
Three Grandchildren: Emily, Kyle, and Arin.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and wife Peggy.
Graveside services will be held on Friday July 22, 2011 at 11:30 AM at
Fredonia City Cemetery with Father Steve Thapwa officiating. There will
be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the charity of your choice
