Ronald "Ron" Gene Hand's Obituary
Ronald “Ron” Hand, age 62 of Chanute, Kansas, passed away on September 4, 2017 in Wichita, KS. Ron was born on March 1, 1955 in Chanute, KS, the son of Alfred Leroy and Oma Lorene (Schlarb) Hand.
He graduated from Chanute High School. On October 4, 1988, Ron married Sandy Weide in Iola, KS.
Ron worked for Consolidated, Cable One and Monarch Cement. He enjoyed restoring motorcycles, woodworking, putting together model cars and reading. Ron loved animals, especially cats and dogs. Ron also enjoyed spending time with his family. Ron was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Club and the Black Powder Club.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Hand; son, Justin Hand; brothers, Wayne Hand and Gary Hand; and nephew, Chad Hand.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11 am at Leanna Cemetery.
