I was saddened to learn of Ron's recent passing. Although I hadn't seen him in many years, I remember especially playing in the neighborhood when we lived a few houses east of the Wulf home on New York Street, about 1947 - 48. There were many days when neighborhood boys ran wildly through their house more than a bit out of control. Mrs. Wulf was amazingly kind and tolerant, much more so than we deserved.
Later I remember hearing stories of Bob and Ron's hunting and trapping activities. And there was Scout Troop 87 with which we all got a lot of outdoor time, and I think, a special appreciation of nature and the wonders of our world. The "outdoors" must have caught on with Ron as I note that he continued to enjoy it.
As I look back, what I remember most of Ron from our school days was a quiet gentle person from whom I never heard an unkind word nor any expression of anger or displeasure. He was kind and respectful to all. He set an example which if followed would bring a better world.
