Ronnie Eugene Johnson's Obituary
Ronnie Eugene “Ron†Johnson, age 68, a resident of Howard, Kansas passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at his home. He was born in Salina, Kansas on February 24, 1943 the son of Max C. and Ruth Gwendolyn (Mathews) Johnson.
From 1962 to 1969, Ronnie served his country in the United States Navy. He was a well known concrete contractor in the Elk county and surrounding areas for many years. Ronnie was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Ronnie is survived by two sons; Eric Johnson and his wife Tresa of Emporia, Kansas and Doug Johnson and his wife Cyd of Colville, Washington, two daughters; Angie Phares of Vancouver, Washington and Lisa Pike and her husband Darin of Arkansas City, Kansas, one sister Ruth Stemler of Westminster, Colorado, his longtime companion Tula Murphy of Moline, Kansas, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Ronnie’s request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery near Solomon, Kansas. Family suggests contributions be made to the Howard City Library or the Jackson Park Fund of Howard and may be left with the funeral home.
