Ronnie Dale Tidd's Obituary
Ronnie Dale Tidd, age 74 of Chanute, KS, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in Wichita, KS. He was born on June 9, 1944 in Neodesha, KS, the son of Park and Pauline (Hutton) Tidd. Ron graduated from Altoona High School in 1962. He married Tina Anderson in Hawaii and they had one daughter together. They later divorced.
Ron was proud to have served in the United States Navy. He later worked as a switchman for the Santa Fe Railroad in Chanute. On December 4, 1969, he was driving to Winfield, KS for the railroad and was involved in a vehicle accident and suffered head injuries and became disabled due to that accident. Ron was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rhonda Tidd.
A visitation will be on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel. Burial will follow at Altoona Cemetery in Altoona, KS. Then Chanute Honor Guard will be in charge of military honors. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials to be made to American Legion Post #170 and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720.
