Rosalie Alma McDonald's Obituary
Rosalie Alma “Rosie” McDonald, age 88, a resident of Howard, Kansas passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 surrounded by her daughters Connie and Joyce and her granddaughter Traci at the Howard Twilight Manor. She was born in Hale, Kansas on November 20, 1924 the daughter of Herbert and Emma (Brand) Greenburg.
On May 14, 1943 Rosie was united in marriage to Donald McDonald in Parsons, Kansas. She was a member of the Howard Independent Baptist Church. Rosie enjoyed sewing and she also liked to go hunting and fishing with Donald.
Rosie is survived by two daughters; Connie Russell and her husband Ken of Howard, Kansas and Joyce Nash of Rancho Cucamonga, California, one brother Herbert Greenburg of Spokane, Washington, three sisters; Margie Welch, Joan Newkirk and Myra Leathers all of Elk City, Kansas, one brother-in-law Russell McDonald of Howard, Kansas, one sister-in-law Jo McDonald of Howard, Kansas, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and five step great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, two brothers and one brother-in-law.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Darrell Spicer officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family suggests contributions to either the Howard Independent Baptist Church or the Howard Twilight Manor Activity Fund and may be left with the funeral home.
