Roscoe Lee Jontra's Obituary
Roscoe Lee “Ross” Jontra age 75 of Fredonia, died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home. Roscoe was born on December 19, 1941 in Elk Falls, KS, the son of Roscoe and Goldie Lee (Barnaby) Jontra.
After High School, Roscoe earned his bachelor’s degree and taught and coached. He taught for 20 years in Longton, then 20 years down in Texas and then returned to Kansas where he taught and retired from Fredonia USD 484. Roscoe was a member of the Grace First Assembly of God Church in Fredonia.
On March 12, 1965 in Independence, KS, Roscoe married Sharon J. McFadden. Roscoe and Sharon have been married for 52 years and she survives at their home. Roscoe enjoyed wood working and especially making cedar chests. Most of all, Roscoe loved being with his family and watching his children and grandchildren grow into their own families.

Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Lawrence Jontra and granddaughter Taylor Jontra.
The family will be having a memorial visitation at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 4-6 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Grace First Assembly of God Church in Fredonia with Pastor Ray Pile officiating.
