Rosemary Galvan's Obituary
Rosemary Galvan, 76, of Howard, Kansas passed away April 4, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Rosemary was born November 3, 1947 to parents Manual Galvan and Maria (Fabian) Galvan in Moline, Kansas. Growing up the last of 15 children, Rosemary attended Moline Public School.
Rosemary married Sonny Fletcher and to this union were born 3 children, Teresa, Maria (Coco) and Treg Fletcher. The marriage later ended in divorce. During this time, Rosemary worked in the aircraft industry at Cessna. Upon her marriage to Dave Salisbury, Rosemary gave birth to a fourth child, Tonya. Rosemary returned to Moline where she was employed by Brentwood as a caregiver.
Rosemary loved caring for others, creating and maintaining her home, traveling when she could, and playing Bingo. You could hear her distinct laugh when she was visiting with friends and family. Rosemary attended the Howard Methodist Church and cherished any opportunity to be able to spend with friends and family. Her presence is sorely missed among all.

Son Treg Fletcher (Vanessa) of Wichita, Kansas
Daughters: Teresa Fletcher, Wichita, Maria Moore, Nebraska, and Tonya McAlister (Gary) of Moline, Kansas.
Brothers: Dave Galvan (Sally) Chicago, Ill. Chuck Galvan of New Lenox, Ill.
Sisters: Josephine Rodriques of Chicago, Ill.; Patricia Galvan of Cicero, Ill.; Delores Ramirez of Baltimore, Md and Ester Pogue, of Boise, Id.
11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins among other family.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Brothers: Lawrence Paul Sr.; Joe Galvan; Alex Galvan and Sisters: Manuella Reyes, Vera Gonzalez, Phyllis Leal, Francis Galvan, and Antonia Hernandez.
Services will be held Friday, May 24 with a visitation from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. and a Celebration of Life service beginning at 2:00 pm. at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorials be given to the Elk County Community Foundation in Rosemary’s name and may be left or mailed to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 East Washington, PO Box 1233, Howard, KS 67349.
Services are entrusted and under the guidance of Countryside Funeral Home, Howard.
