Rosemary Ann Krone's Obituary
Rosemary "Mary Ann" (Templeton) Krone, 84, of Chanute, went to meet her heavenly Father on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas after a short illness.
She graduated from Chanute High School in 1951. She graduated 1954 from Bethany Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, Kansas. Mary Ann married Neil F Krone on January 16, 1955 in Chanute, Kansas. She retired from Neosho Memorial Hospital after 40 years of dedicated service as a Registered Nurse working in the Recovery Room and later as charge nurse of the West Wing.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Ladies Circle of the church, a former Red Hatter, Chanute Senior Center where she spent many enjoyable hours quilting. After retirement she and Neil spent many years in south Texas as “Snowbirds”.
Mary Ann is survived by daughter Cheryl and Roger Rajotte, Pittsburg, Ks; son Mark and Diana Krone, Sterling, Ks; sister, Patricia (Kenny) Winkenwader; four grandchildren, Anna Krone Wray(Grady); Amanda Dole(Curtis); Kristin Bryant; Matt Krone(Terell); and six great-grandchildren, Evan Rajotte, Autumn and Alana Bryant, Tucker and Newton Krone and Baby Wray due January 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Newton and Evelyn Ruth (Cox) Templeton; and husband, Neil.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home - Gibson Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 12, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Ladies Circle or the memorial of your choice.
