Rudy Steven DeLaTorre, age 64, of Chanute, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Chanute, Kansas. Rudy was born on May 5, 1952 in Topeka, KS the son of Pablo and Lucia (Bonilla) DeLaTorre.
Rudy worked as a laborer at for Haldex in Iola for 10 years. He also served for 11 years as a member of the Chanute Mexican Festival Committee. Rudy was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute, KS.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Manuel Lopez, Henry Lopez, Roman DeLaTorre and sisters: Ester Lira and Teresa Schultz.
Cremation has been requested. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute. Rosary will be recited on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church. Inurnment will be at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
