Rudy L. Robinson's Obituary
Rudy L. Robinson, 75, of Fredonia passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. Rudy was born on April 3, 1950, in Fredonia, KS., the son of Alvin E. and Sarah Jane (Horney) Robinson.
Growing up on the family farm, and graduating from high school, Rudy learned a strong work ethic that continued throughout his life. Farming and ranching, with a deep love of raising cattle, Rudy worked alongside his father his entire life and carried on that tradition working alongside his son raising and feeding cattle up to just a couple of days before his passing. While his children were growing up, he wanted just a little more time with them, so he drove a school bus for 18 years. He then worked as a Production Supervisor at Systech Environmental for 25 plus years until his retirement.
That work ethic carried into his friendship, Rudy would be the first one to help his friends or neighbors, putting people first, and working later into the night on his own things that needed to be done, but always made it a point to let his friends know he cared about them, spent time with them, listened, and would give direction when needed.
On December 11, 1971, Rudy married the love of his life, Jana S. Johnson, and she survives at their home. Affectionately known as “Pops”, he was so proud of his family and loved them deeply that he made it a point to spend as much time with them together and individually leaving his legacy, knowledge, wit, and compassion on all. Rudy also had a great love for his two dogs, Bear and Winston. A man to many friends that will greatly be missed by those who knew him.
