Rudy W. Stuehler's Obituary
Rudy W. Stuehler, age 85, of Wichita passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Life Care Center of Wichita. Rudy was born October 15, 1923 in Schweinfurt, Germany. The son of Adolf and Ramona Stuehler.
Rudy served in the German Army and was a Prisoner of War in Russia for 5 years. On February 26, 1944, Rudy married Betty Kamm of Forscht, Germany. In 1956, Rudy, his wife Betty and their 2 daughters came to the United States unable to speak English, but knew they wanted to raise their family here. In 1961, Rudy was very proud to become a United States Citizen. Rudy and his wife Betty were married for 65 years, she survives, living at the Life Care Center in Wichita.
Rudy worked as a Tool Grinder, and started his own business, Wichita Star Tool. When Rudy was ready to retire he sold his business to an employee and the business continues. Rudy was an avid collector of Hummel’s figurines. He loved to travel with his family and grandchildren all over the United States including many trips back to Germany to see his family. Rudy will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Christine Gire and one brother Herman Stuehler
Cremation has been requested. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 18, 2009 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church 1321 N. Stratford, Wichita, KS.
