Russell Dale Shields' Obituary
Russell Dale Shields, age 46, of Chanute, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his home. Russell was born August 29, 1968 in Chanute, KS the son of Radford and Margie (Shrum) Shields. He lived his entire life in Chanute.
Russell married Lois Swink in 1993, and they later separated. He enjoyed fishing, garage sales, refinishing furniture, playing dominoes and candle making.
Russell is survived by his father Radford Shields of Chanute; his companion Rachel Dyson of the home; children Mariah, Justin and Jacey Dyson, all of the home; son Chris Shields of Chanute; step-children, Jon Thompson, Colorado Springs, CO., Natasha Reed of Chanute; sister Twila Monk, of Chanute; brothers, Tom, Jason, and Kevin, all of Chanute; grandchildren Kaylee Shields, Madisyn and Nathan Reed, Jacob and Audrey Thompson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Shields.
The family will hold a memorial service Tuesday, November 25, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church.
