Rusty Leon Jones' Obituary
Rusty Leon Jones, 53, of Gas City, KS, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at KU Hospital. Rusty was born on June 14, 1972, in Iola, KS., the son of Willie E. Jones Jr. and Norma K. (Blevins) McDaniel.
Rusty had a zest for life, loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Rusty enjoyed going to the dirt track races, listening to music, and cooking outside on the grill or using his smoker. He shared a great love for his dogs, with family remembering his favorites Bubba and Ace. Rusty was a previous member of Elk’s, he carried that motto throughout life with his friends and family, to carry out Charity, Justice and Brotherly Love. Rusty was known to care for his friends and love his family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Community Building by Riverside Park in Iola. Memorials in his memory have been suggested to ACARF of La Harpe and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
