Ruth Katherine Brinkley's Obituary
Ruth Katherine Brinkley, age 88, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Ruth was born on December 11, 1925 in Sulpher, OK the daughter of Aubry Otto and Clara (Tevis) Little.
On June 23, 1944, Ruth joined the US Army WAC. On July 26, 1945 in Pass Christian, MS, she married Clark Brinkley. Ruth and Clark were married for 68 years and he survives at their home.
Ruth worked for 22 years at the Kansas Bank Note in Fredonia, and 15 years at Mercy Hospital in Fredonia. Ruth and Clark donated the land where the Calvary Wesleyan Church is now located in Fredonia. Ruth loved to square dance and she and Clark were members of the Prominator’s Square Dancing Group. In her spare time she worked in her garden and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends

Sister-In-Law: Lois Brinkley of Neodesha, KS
8 Grand Children, 23 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Brother; Larry Little, an infant sister and daughter-in-law Patsy Brinkley.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday August 20, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Calvary Wesleyan Church in Fredonia with burial to follow at the High Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
