Ruth Marie Worley's Obituary
Ruth Marie Worley, age 92, of Chanute, KS passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. Ruth was born on December 3, 1924 in Chanute, KS, the daughter of Alfred Herbert and Nellie Gertrude (Brown) Barnett. She graduated from Altoona High School.
Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent her life caring for others, both people and animals. Ruth babysat many children while living in Kansas City and helped children flourish in her care. She loved to garden and especially loved growing irises. In her spare time, Ruth also enjoyed birdwatching, camping, fishing, and just about any outdoor activity. She was a member of High Prairie United Methodist Church in Altoona, KS.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland; daughter, Judy Ruth Worley; and son, Steven Lee Worley.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at High Prairie United Methodist Church in Altoona, KS followed immediately by a service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS.
