Sandra Rosa Beardmore's Obituary
SANDRA ROSA (BAKER) BEARDMORE, 70, of Yates Center, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2022, at St. Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born on July 16, 1951 to Albert and Margaret (Ferguson) Baker.
She married Jack Beardmore on April 15, 1979 in Wichita, Kansas. Both Sandy and Jack brought children into their marriage. Sandy’s children were, Anthony and Rebekah Manuel. Jack’s children were; Kathy, Jack, and Theresa Beardmore. Shortly after their marriage, Jack adopted Anthony and Rebekah, and raised them as his own. Together they raised all five children, hardly a dull moment in the household.
Sandy was the owner and operator of J & S Contractors for many years, remodeling & designing both interiors and exteriors of homes. She was an artist & it seemed she had no preferred medium. She also loved her rabbits, pet squirrel, cats, dog, yard art, and the huge yard displays put on at the holidays. She would draw admiring comments from both neighbors and passersby. Crafting was a lifelong hobby for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, who passed away in 2007, her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Anthony (Stephanie) Beardmore, Rebekah (Jeffery) Beardmore, Kathy Weber, Jack Beardmore II, and Theresa Beardmore; grandchildren, Xandra Knight and Brennen Beardmore; Jack Beardmore and Harrison Beardmore, as well as many other grandchildren; with one great grand child, Onyx Knight; siblings, Carolyn Stetina and Donald Doss; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be extremely missed & was loved by so many.
