Sandra Simpson's Obituary
Sandra Simpson, 85 of Longton, KS passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Sandra was
born January 17, 1939 to her Father Ernest Ashenfelter and Mother Augusta Stowers.
Sandra attended Moorehead and Altamont Schools and later attended St Francis Hospital
School of Nursing where she obtained her license as a Registered Nurse. Sandra was well known
for her hard work. She worked for several physician Offices, nursing homes, as well as several
hospitals. She taught at Neosho County Community College for a short time. In her free time
she loved quilting, crocheting, singing, and playing the piano.

Erin Kill and her husband Bud
Dawn White
Grand Children:
Katrina, Ashley, Jeremy, Heather, and Sierra
Great Grandchildren:
Lorelai, Wren, Sullivan, Jack, Veda, LexiRae, and Elise
Sandra is preceded in death by her Father Ernest Ashenfelter and Mother Augusta Stowers;
Sons Kevin and Sean; Daughters Stephanie and Denise.
There will be a Graveside Service held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Wichita, Ks
at the Wichita Park Cemetery. Memorials contributions can be made to either the Longton Youth
Ministry or Longton Easter Egg Hunt and may be left with or mailed to Countryside Funeral Home,
206 E. Washington P.O. Box 1233 Howard, Kansas 67349.
