Sarah Jane Robinson's Obituary
Sarah Jane Robinson age 86 of Fredonia, died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. Sarah Jane was born February 7, 1931 in Yates Center, Kansas the daughter of Lee and Marion “Trowbridg” Horney.
Sarah Jane was a graduate of El Dorado High School. On September 24, 1949 in El Dorado, KS Sarah Jane married Alvin Robinson. Sarah Jane and Alvin were married for 67 years, Alvin survives at their home.
Sarah Jane was a member of the First Christian Church in Fredonia, she was active many years with the Dorcas Club. Sarah Jane worked 30 plus years at LaDow and Spohn in Fredonia. Sarah Jane was on a bowling league for several years and was a huge supporter of the Coyville Community Center. Sarah Jane loved working on their family farm running tractors, and equipment, while having her grandchildren in the cab with her. Sarah Jane was devoted to her friends, she would be the first to offer to sit with them at hospitals if families needed breaks, she would keep people informed, and still mailed out hundreds of cards each years to let them know she remembered them. Most of all, Sarah Jane was dedicated to her family, and she was proud of each and every one of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Sarah Jane was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother and sister.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, with burial at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Pastor Claude Shue officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to either the Coyville Community Center or the First Christian Church of Fredonia and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
