Sarah was a volunteer Docent for The Chanute Art Gallery for more than five years and was almost always there to greet visitors from 2-4 on Fridays. To say that she will be missed is an understatement, she was special to the Gallery and all those who volunteered or visited. You served well, dear Sarah, you have earned your peace.
I met Sarah because my fingers were "eaten" by a ringer washing machine. I was screaming my fool head off. She heard me and came across the street to the rescue. We struck up a friendship that was very dear to my heart. Sarah's first instinct was to nurture. I learned cooking, sewing, budgeting, and so much more from her. She was a dear friend and is very missed.
