Sharon Adele Cook's Obituary
Sharon Adele (Royer) Cook was born on May 11, 1938 and departed this life on March 4, 2025, at Morningstar Care in Neodesha. Sharon was born to Marcelious and Vesta Royer. She attended school in Davenport, Oklahoma and Davis, Oklahoma before beginning her career as a banker.
During her time at the bank, she met the love of her life Robert Cook. With him, they made their home in Davenport before retiring to Prague, Oklahoma. Sharon spent most of her career at BancFirst, where she retired as a loan officer. Even in retirement, she enjoyed working part time filing at the bank. Sharon enjoyed so many things in life. She loved gardening and baking. She loved sewing quilts and crocheting afghans. She loved attending church and singing in the choir, and she loved watching old westerns and game shows.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Robert Cook, her daughter Bobbie Day, her sons Bryan Russell and Michael Russell, her parents Marcelous and Vesta Royer, and her favorite little Yorkie, Toby. Sharon is survived by her granddaughter, Courtney Smith, her sister Sharlene Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has been requested under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, and Sharon will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her husband at Davenport Cemetery.
