Sharon Yvonne Weiland's Obituary
Sharon Yvonne Weiland, 73, of Petrolia, Kansas, passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born June 20th, 1952, in Fredonia, Kansas, Sharon was the daughter of Anna and John Paul Johnson.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was built around hard work, family, and taking care of the people, she loved. Throughout her life, she worked multiple jobs, with her longest employment being at PC Board, where she spent many dedicated years. She was known for her strength, stubbornness, humor, and the way she always spoke her mind.
More than anything, she loved her family. She leaves behind her three children, Gary Wikel, Angela Jack, and Dessie Collins; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Paula Rigole and Joyce Webb, all of whom were deeply loved by her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Weiland; her parents, three sisters; and one brother.
Her family will remember her for the countless conversations, the stories, the laughter, the advice, and the fierce love she carried for the people closest to her. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on through the family she built and loved so deeply.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home and funeral and service arrangements will be announced by the family.
