Sherrie Lynn Carmer's Obituary
Sherrie Lynn Carmer, 59, of Chanute, KS passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 15, 2019. She was born on February 20, 1960 in Atwood, KS to Richard Clay and Nora Ann (Hughes) Clements. On October 27, 2001, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Carmer and he survives at their home.
Sherrie, affectionately called “Grammy” was a dynamite wife, and loving mom and grandma. She loved her family above all and enjoyed clothes shopping, watching daytime TV, being outdoors, and cooking for her family, especially spaghetti. She was a lifelong collector of teddy bears and loved helping others through difficult times through her financial donations. She will be missed by all who knew her, and especially her cats, “Snookums” and “Spunky.”

Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Richard Clements.
Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a memorial service at Santa Fe Park in Chanute, KS on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720.
