Steven Dean Barker II's Obituary
Steven Dean Barker II, 46, a resident of Chanute, KS, peacefully passed away on February 10, 2024, at Heritage Healthcare. Steven was born on January 6, 1978, in Chanute, Kansas, the son of Steven and Debbie Barker.
Steven is survived by his daughter Ashlin Barker (Blake), son Jacob Barker, sister Shelly Gilmore (Mike), sister Shannon Finley (Kenny), mother and father Steven & Debbie Barker, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many more family and friends.
Steven is preceded in death by many grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Steven was a devoted father, brother, and son. He was a free spirit that had a talent for music. He enjoyed playing his guitar and was in multiple bands jamming and singing. Steven was also an avid fisherman. If he didn’t have a guitar in his hand, it was a fishing pole.
A celebration of life will be held on March 9, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 23450 Brown Rd., Chanute, Kansas. Services entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, Kansas 66720.
