Steven Vincent Lee's Obituary
Steven Vincent Lee, age 61, born on July 15, 1962 in Wichita, KS, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 4, 2024, in Howard KS. His life was marked by devotion to his family, excellence in his profession, and compassion for all living creatures.
Steven received his formal education at Munger Elementary and Clearwater High School, attended college in Independence, KS, and received his welding degree at Wichita Area Technical Institute. In his distinguished career, he applied his expertise as a drafting engineer, machinist, and welder at the Q Corporation in Derby, KS. Prior to that Steven worked for many years in numerous positions at the Cobalt factory in Neodesha, KS. Steven's entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he and his wife founded Oma's Country Critters Sanctuary, a testament to his love and respect for animals.
Those who knew Steven will remember him as a beacon of caring, kindness, and intelligence. An avid athlete and a man of wit and humor, Steven's dedication to his family was unwavering. He found great joy in his many hobbies, which included traveling the open roads on his motorcycle, constructing with his skilled hands, enjoying leisurely runs, engaging in the camaraderie of basketball games, and playing with the grandchildren.
Steven is survived by his wife Angela Lee and son Aidan Lee of the home; son Den (Rachelle) Marshall of Howard, KS; daughter Abby (John) Reed of Rose Hill, KS; son Dawson (Kassidy Hoover) Baker of Howard, KS; brother Daniel (Kathy) Lee of Mesa, AZ; his adoring grandchildren, Ashton, Zoey, Landon, Kelsey, Audrina, Levi, Alexis, and Kyngston; nephews Nick and Will Lee; in-laws Don and Judy Crowell of Emporia, KS; sister-in-law Dawn (Jeff) Griffin; and dear Uncle Jack Lee of Wichita, KS. He was preceded in heaven by his mother Marga and adoptive father Keith Harrington; his father Robert Lee; his beloved son Steven Lee; and his dear nephew Sam Griffin.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the memory of Steven on August 9th at 2 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, KS. In lieu of customary remembrances, and to ensure the educational future of his young son Aidan, contributions may be made to the Steven Lee Memorial fund
