Stewart Troy Bell's Obituary
Stewart “Troy” and Ann Marie Bell, both of Moline, KS passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 following an accident west of Severy. The couple were both avid readers, they enjoyed discussing local politics, and they had delivered the Independence newspaper until just recently. Ann and Troy enjoyed spending time visiting with family and friends. Troy liked to make bumper stickers, and his favorite was promoting the Independence paper.
Troy was born November 4, 1966 in Winfield, KS the son of Joe and Marie (Firth) Bell. Ann was born November 22, 1969 in Fredonia, KS the daughter of Albert “Eddie” and Christina (Whisler) Woods.
Troy graduated from West Elk High School, and Ann graduated from Neodesha High School. After graduating Ann attended college at both Independence and Pittsburg. The couple was married in Moline, KS on June 6, 2004. Monday would have been their 12th Anniversary.
Troy is survived by his brothers; Butch Bell of Moline, KS, Randy Bell and wife Vicki of Hamilton, AL, David Bell of Coffeyville, KS, sister; Kim Imhof and husband Dennis of Joplin, MO., several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Joe and Marie, and a brother; Kevin Bell.
Ann is survived by her grandmother; Hazel Faulkner of Coffeyville, KS, sisters; Barbara Cox and husband Robert of Dearing, KS, Sue Byers Mikell of Brunswick, GA, brother; Norman Byers, aunts; Norma Hader and husband Bill of Coffeyville, KS, and Jeanette McCollum of Bartlesville, OK.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; Albert and Christina, and her uncle; Danny Whisler.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 9th, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Moline City Cemetery. The families suggest memorials to Starkey, Inc., which promotes independence in individuals with intellectual disabilities. Memorials may be left with, or mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 1233, Howard, KS. 67349.
