Susie Jean Eckland's Obituary
Susie Jean Eckland, age 65, a resident of Eagle Rock, Missouri passed away at her home Sunday, October 17, 2010. She was born on August 29, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Hall and Jo (Mason) Hall.
Susie was a graduate of South High School in Wichita, Kansas. On November 12, 1965 Susie was united in marriage to Richard Clay Eckland in Wichita, Kansas. Susie and Richard were business owners, and she was a business woman for more than 30 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Susie also enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and cooking.
She is survived by two daughters: Shelley Crawford and husband Daniel; and Becky Walden and husband Rodney; all of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; her mother and stepfather Jo and Charles Pumroy of Wichita, Kansas; three siblings: Katie Huaroto of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Mary Jayne Cobble of Wichita, Kansas; Chuck Pumroy of Tampa, Florida; and four grandchildren. Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eckland.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 22, 2010 at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Robin Haines officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to First Assembly of God in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and may be left with the funeral home.
