Teany Marie Miller's Obituary
Teany Marie F. Miller, age 89, of Chanute, KS passed away at her home on Monday, July 27, 2015. Teany was born October 25, 1925 in Humboldt, KS the daughter of George W. and Doris J. (Horton) Cowan.
She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1943. She married Everett L. Miller on November 5, 1945 in Fort Scott, KS. Teany worked early on setting up stories for the Newberry Co. She later went in banking and worked at First National Bank from 1959-1986, when she went to work at the Bank of Commerce as a teller until her retirement about 5 years ago. Teany was member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Teany is survived by her siblings; John Bill Cowan and wife Phyllis of Neodesha, KS, Nelva Jo Callarman and husband Roy of Chanute, KS, niece; Becky Bockover of Benedict, KS, and nephew Lester Floyd and wife Carol of Chanute, KS, sister-in-law; Caroline Cowan of Enid, OK and other numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Doris, brothers; George Cowan, Ivan Johnson, Tommy Cowan, sisters; Mabel Floyd, Peggy Johns and Roberta Hamlin.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
