Teddy Darrell Davis' Obituary
Teddy Darrell “Ted” Davis, age 74, a resident of Howard, Kansas passed away Saturday, April 06, 2013 at the Howard Twilight Manor. He was born near Leon, Kansas on August 31, 1938 the son of Arthur Samuel and Ethel Luena Mae (Spivey) Davis.
On May 10, 1958 Ted was united in marriage to Sara Kathryn Shocklee in El Dorado, Kansas. Ted worked as a farmer, a machinery dealer and also a minister at the Longton Baptist Church for many years. He was a member of the Howard First Baptist Church and the Elk County Ministerial Alliance.
Ted is survived by his wife Sara Kathryn Davis of Wichita, two sons Matthew Davis of Neodesha, Kansas and Mark Davis of Paola, Kansas, two daughters; Tamara Bobb and Trisha Davis both of Wichita, Kansas, two sisters; Helen Copeland of Howard, Kansas and Verla Jackson of El Dorado, Kansas, one brother Marion Davis of Sedan, Kansas, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Howard First Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to the Elk County Ministerial Alliance and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.
