Teresa Jo Mansfield's Obituary
Teresa Jo Mansfield (Strope) age 61, of Independence KS was tragically taken from us too soon on September 11th, 2024.
Teresa was born February 25, 1963, to Jimmie Floyd Strope and Audrey Ann Ortega (Dunham).
Teresa graduated from Independence High School in 1981 and earned her cosmetology degree from ICC. She married the love of her life Jeffrey W. Mansfield on May 6, 1986 in Miami, OK.
Our mom loved life and living it to the fullest. She was ornery and full of love, especially for her family and friends. We will miss her more than any words could ever express.
Teresa is survived by daughter Samantha Mansfield; son Jimme Mansfield; grandsons Wyatt Lumbley and Jet Tracy; granddaughters Wrylee Goodwin and Gracelyn Tracy; and step-father Richard Ortega
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey W. Mansfield, father Jimmie F. Strope, mother Audrey Ann Ortega, sister Susanne M. Strope, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.
She gained her angel wings not alone, but with long-time friend and family member, Donnie Christeson.
The family will be holding a funeral service for Teresa at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Liberty, KS. Following the service, all are welcome to continue the celebration of Teresa's life at Jacks Place, also in Liberty, KS.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank everyone for the flowers, meals, cards, and condolences. It is greatly appreciated.
