Mary Teresa (Truster) Shotwell's Obituary
Mary Teresa (Truster) Shotwell, age 76, of Chanute, KS passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in Chanute. Teresa was born on July 8, 1940 in Kimball, KS the daughter of Burt and Mildred (Hill) Truster.
On January 27, 1977 she married William “Bill” Shotwell in Texas. Bill preceded her in death.
Early in Teresa’s life she took jobs as a clothing model. Then, after earning her Associates Degree, Teresa began working as a legal secretary for firms in Chanute, Tulsa, and Wichita. She loved to garden and even ran a plant nursery in Texas for years. In addition to gardening she enjoyed spending time with and caring for her pets. Teresa was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; brothers: Bob, Burt, and Neal Truster.
Cremation has been requested. A visitation will be held on Friday July 29, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, Johnson Chapel in Chanute.
