Terry Lee Mayfield's Obituary
Terry L. Mayfield, age 59, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS.
Terry was born on May 14, 1954 in Beaumont, California the son of Jack and Doris (Freeman) Mayfield.
On April 22, 1989 in Elsmore, KS, Terry married Sharon Harp. She survives at their home.
Terry was a life time member of the VFW and he also loved to bowl. Terry most of all loved trains and he was an engineer for the railroad for many years.
Survivors including his wife Sharon and son Trevis Mayfield of Chanute; step son Richard DeLaTorre of Piqua, KS; step daughters: Joey Roatch and husband Scott of Ottawa, KS, and Mary Sproule and husband Jon of Ottawa, KS; seven grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Doris; a step dad Fred Kimble; a brother Robert Church; a sister JettaSue Dockstader; a granddaughter Mateah Mayfield.
Cremation has taken place and a Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at the Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel in Chanute. Memorials in his name may be made to the Chanute Cancer Center and may be left with the funeral home.
