Thelma Earline Benson's Obituary
Thelma Earline “Sam†Benson, age 65, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas. Thelma was born in New Hampshire on November 20, 1942 the daughter of Earl Raymond and Mildrid Marie (Lombard) Upson.
Thelma was a graduate of Wichita State University earning a degree in business. She was employed for many years with Schendel Pest Control in Wichita as a bookkeeper. On August 6, 1981 Thelma was united in marriage to Milo Vernon Benson in St. Paul, Minnesota.
For many years Thelma and Milo came to their home near Fall River Lake for weekend getaways. They finally left Wichita behind and moved to their lake home where they loved to spend time on the lake and with their family.

Three step daughters: Laurie Vredenburg Ft. Wayne, IN
Terri Benson Salina, KS
Dianna Anderson Toronto, KS
20 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her father Earl, who died in World War II, her mother Mildrid who died December, 2007 and her husband Milo who passed away July 17, 2007
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Chaplain Jim Bell officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 5 at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2 PM Saturday at White Chapel Memorial Garden in Wichita, Kansas. Memorials may be sent to the charity of choice.
