Tisha Lynn Raida's Obituary
Tisha Lynn (Stanlick) Raida, 67, of Thayer, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, after
a hard battle with cancer at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center (Chanute, KS) surrounded by her loved ones. Tish was born on January 1, 1957, in Chanute, KS to Earl and Marietta Stanlick. She attended and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1974. She continued her education in nursing at Neosho County Community College and graduated in 1978. Her nursing career started at Wilson County Hospital as an OB nurse, to 26 years of running Golden Keys Nursing Home, and then working in home health for Angels Care Home Health and Morning Star when her health declined in August of 2023. In 1978 she married Phillip Cunningham and had 3 wonderful kids, Brandon, Dustin, and Keisha Cunningham. They divorced years later. Tish then met the love of her life, Randy Raida, in 2006 and were married on January 1, 2015. Tish and Randy spent their time together to the fullest. They enjoyed going to the casino together with their friends and being with their family. Tish was always full of life and was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved supporting her grandkids in their activities and spending time with them. She enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing. She looked forward to her Margarita Mondays and trips with the girls and her daughter to catch up and have lots of laughs. She also liked softball and baseball and coached her kids as they were growing up. Tish was also an active member of the Neodesha Eagles (Aeries #3448) and loved helping every chance her and Randy could. Tish served as the Bartender Manager and Secretary. She also was a lifelong member of the VFW in Neodesha. Tish is survived by her husband Randy, of the home, son Dustin Cunningham, Neodesha, KS), daughter Keisha Kisling and husband Shawn (Howard, KS), stepchildren Jerry Raida and wife Heather (Thayer, KS), Larry Raida and wife Kimberly (Thayer, KS), Lori Davis and husband Jimmie (Chanute, KS), best friend and sister Connie Burkhead (Neodesha, KS), Mother-in-Law Lois Raida (Thayer, KS), 17 Grandchildren: Kestin, Kohler, Payge, Camden, Colton, Caitlyn, Shelby, Lane and Kady, Trevor and Shayla, Tyler and Madison, Tuker and Brooklyn, Wyatt and Mattea, Laryn and Wyatt, Shelby, Macie, Khyla, and Weston, 4 Great Grandchildren: Lakelyn, Kashytn, Palynn, and Masyn, and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Marietta, sister Vicki Stanlick, Grandparents, Aunts Carol Jean and Patricia Bailey, Uncles Jimmy and Emory Stanlick, son Brandon Cunningham, grandchild Gunner Murray, Brother-in-Law Bo Raida, Sister-in-Law Ila Swartz, nephews Skeeter Raida and Curtis Williams, and niece Jessica Raida.
The family will receive friends and family for a visitation at the Thayer Christian Church (8495 Dorn Road Thayer, KS) on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 5:30 pm -7:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 10:00am with burial to follow at the Neodesha City Cemetery.
