Travis Foust's Obituary
Travis Foust, age 97, a resident of Moline, Kansas passed away Sunday, March 06, 2011 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield, Kansas. He was born on December 8, 1913 in Putnam, Oklahoma the son of John W. and Sarah Alice (Walker) Foust.
On September 12, 1936 Travis was united in marriage to Lola Miller in Winfield, Kansas and celebrated 72 years of marriage together before Lola’s passing. Travis was a mechanic. He was known as a hardworking and kind gentleman to everyone. Travis enjoyed woodworking, repairing furniture and fishing. He was a member of the Moline Christian Church.
Travis is survived by one son Gary Foust and his wife Sandy of Winfield, Kansas, one daughter Gaylene Hebb and her husband Lee of Howard, Kansas, one brother John T. Foust and his wife Mildred of Moline, Kansas, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lola on May 5, 2009, 5 brothers, 8 sisters and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Moline Christian Church in Moline, Kansas with Pastor Stan Rumbaugh officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at Moline Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be made to the Moline Christian Church and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside - Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
