Tressie Arlene Finley's Obituary
Tressie Arlene Finley, age 102, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Diversicare in Chanute, KS. She was born on February 25, 1913 in Elizabeth, AR. Her parents were John Newton Comstock and Rosetta (Helms) Comstock.
Tressie married Clifton Finley on August 18, 1932 in Elizabeth, AR. She moved from Arkansas to S. E. MO in 1944 and to Kansas in 1971. She was a homemaker and was part of the Baptist Faith. She had a big interest in her family, farming, her grandchildren and music.
She is survived by her daughter, Hazel Perry of Columbia, MO, eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and eleven great- great grandchildren. Four sisters, Bernice Dean, Louise Smith, Exie Chastain, Ruth Hayden, and one daughter in law Trula Finley, and two son-in-laws.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Lillian Faye Finley, two sons, Amos “Jim” Finley and Oles Neal Finley, one sister, two brothers, one granddaughter, one grandson.
There will be a graveside service Monday, June 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Swedish Cemetery.
