Vera F. Frisbie's Obituary
Vera F. Frisbie, of Fredonia, age 89, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at her home. Vera was born on May 9, 1921 at Salina, Kansas the daughter of Lawrence Martin and Vera O. (McLauglin) Roedl.
After High School Vera went on to college at Newman University to get her teaching degree, where she taught at country schools in Marion County. On April 23, 1941 Vera married James W. Frisbie. To this union the raised three children, Vera and James were married for 48 years until James death of February 1990.
Vera was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Peerless Princess Lodge 349 to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

Vera was preceded in death by; parents, husband; James, daughter; Virginia L. Dunn, son; James W. Frisbie Jr., brothers; Lawrence M. Roedl Jr. and Cleo L. Hix, sister; Virginia Henthorn.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday May 29, 2010 with Rosary at 9:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia, burial to follow at the Andover Cemetery, in Andover, Kansas at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held Friday May 28, 2010 at the funeral home from 4-7 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6-7 P.M. The family suggests memorials to Newman College Scholarship Support and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
